Hi, I was wondering if you know the key code for a 2007 Honda CHF50 scooter, (the jazz).., and if you know if the metropolitan scooter and the jazz have the same engine,?

Hello jringa,

The key codes are different for each bike. The ignition switches have the key code on the body of the switch but they must be removed from the scooter to find it. Some dealers write the key code on the sales documents so check with the dealer that sold the scooter to see if they have it. The CHF50 is called the jazz in Canada, the Metropolitan in the US, the Scoopy in Australia and the Crea Scoopy in Japan. They all use the same engine.

It seems impossible (or at least for the average 'at home mechanic') to remove the ignition body by itself, is it possible to see the code on the ignition without completely removing it? there are some screws holding the ignition body on that are the 'screw in one direction only' style screws...

I found a number ink stamped 051221 does that seem like the code?

wasn't the code, i ended up just drilling out the screws and bringing the body into the locksmiths thanks for all your help...one last quick question, do you know if the gas cap has the same key as the ignition...? thanks again.
